Welcome to Caribbean Secondary School
Located at the heart of Patan under the umbrella – Caribbean Educational Foundation, Caribbean Secondary School is dedicated to providing quality education from Playgroup through Grade 10, fostering academic excellence, holistic growth, and a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Our programs align with the National Examination Board (NEB) standards, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education that integrates both academic rigor and practical skills. Along with this, we also organize a range of opportunities and activities every year where students are encouraged to explore and exhibit their talents and skills in the presence of a large audience.
Preschool Level (Playgroup to UKG)
Our preschool program offers a nurturing and engaging environment where young learners can develop foundational skills through play-based learning. Emphasizing the importance of instilling the right values and guidance at an early age, our curriculum focuses on early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and creativity. Through storytelling, music, art, and outdoor activities, children engage in foundational learning while building curiosity and confidence. The curriculum is designed to foster social and emotional development, preparing young learners for a seamless transition to the primary level.
Primary Level (Grade 1 to 5)
At the primary level, we aim to strengthen students’ core academic skills in multiple disciplines so that they have a solid academic foundation while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the future. Our primary level also offers diverse extracurricular activities, including art, music, dance, and cultural programs, which encourage students to explore their talents and interests beyond the classroom, promoting a well-rounded education. Additionally, values such as kindness, respect, responsibility, and curiosity are taught to students, helping them build confidence and a strong sense of community.
Lower Secondary Level (Grade 6 to 8)
Our lower secondary level is structured to build on students’ academic knowledge to prepare them for more advanced studies while encouraging independence and analytical thinking. This level emphasizes practical applications of learned concepts, encouraging students to become active and independent learners. Alongside academics, students participate in a range of extracurricular activities providing opportunities for personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills development.
Secondary Level (Grade 9 to 10)
At the secondary level, we focus on preparing students for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), a pivotal stage in their academic journey. Our Grade 10 curriculum is designed to reduce exam stress by reinforcing critical subjects early in the session. We offer supplementary classes for students needing additional guidance, ensuring everyone feels confident and well-prepared. Further, we hold a special career counseling program that guides SEE graduates in making informed decisions about their future studies and careers.
Beyond academics and extracurricular activities, Caribbean Secondary School provides a range of enriching experiences, from celebrating Nepali festivals to organizing intra-school contests and excursions. Moreover, we offer the SCOUT Program to our students, a global youth development movement aimed at building character, leadership, community service, and outdoor skills. We believe in holistic education that connects students to cultural values, enhances self-confidence, and fosters a strong sense of purpose.
This commitment to excellence has earned our school the Outstanding Achievement Award for three consecutive years since 2078 by PABSON, recognizing our efforts to provide a balanced and enriching education.
